The history of Hmong art is rooted and sewn into the fabrics of traditional Hmong clothing where the unique combination of vibrant colors and textures makes the Hmong identifiable.

The Rooted artists pull inspiration from this history creating part exhibit and part experience from their stories that make Fresh Traditions in fashion, art and food.

In this non-runway event, fashion is exhibited by designers from past Fresh Traditions Fashion Shows. Live hair and makeup demonstrations by STYLUS, the official Fresh Traditions X Fashion Show hair and makeup specialists. Food designed and prepared by Chef Yia Vang. You'll hear music spun by DJ LWRZN. You'll see art installations by local artists Kia Kehrer and Peter Phung. AND, you'll be able to purchase fashion accessories by our designers!
