Maria Robinson is an Afro-Puerto Rican artist/Muralist native to Minneapolis Minnesota. Robinson’s preferred medium is oil paint on canvases larger than herself to create representational paintings that utilize the figure and vibrant color or lack thereof to reflect her emotion and experiences about her Puerto Rican and Black identities and the often complex feelings that may bring, while simultaneously illustrating the history of resilience, vibrancy, and pride from both cultures.
