(they/them)
My work in this day reflects the hauntings of my intersectional pain. The darkest and deepest memories, whether shedding tears in my bathtub, my first queer relationship, days where I had to mask sadness for acceptance. It is through this intimate expression that I find I have something in common with others. It is like making eye contact with the world. When people tell me about my art, they tell me of how it reaches out to the inner parts of themselves, and that it is the work of someone that has something to say. My work has a throat of it's own, speaking of the dark moments I've lived, speaking to onlookers who find a mirror in it. It tells them that they too, in private, still share something with the world.
