WORKSHOP BY REILLY A. MILLER - DRKRM MPLS

LOCATION: PF UPSTAIRS GALLERY 247

ADD TO GOOGLE CALENDAR

This workshop will examine analog mediums that have historically been used as vehicles to subvert state dominance. We will review and discuss the inherent values of resistance within analog photographic processes when used contemporarily. The remainder of the workshop will focus toward working hands-on with cyanotype to demonstrate the accessibility and sustainability of the process, which primarily relies on sunlight to develop images. Participants will be trained to create their own canvas patches using a variety of photographic transparencies. These transparencies will contain imagery that share themes of protest and resistance that were originally documented on analog film. Each participant will depart with patches they have created.

Admission is free with registration.
