Suriya Khuth (1998) is a queer Khmer-American independent curator and image-maker from Rochester, Minnesota. Khuth’s practice constantly searches for and recognizes new meanings/potentialities in photographs. Most recently, Khuth has been drawn to collage as a visual language that refuses non-linear/simplistic ways of seeing. Through acts of tearing, taping, writing over, and piecing together images, they create bodies of work that reflect on queerness, memory, femininity, materiality, and transformation.
