Jelani Ellis is an African American artist. She lived and studied in Virginia, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Arts before moving to Minneapolis, Minnesota on a whim. Led by such whims, Jelani has picked up and practiced several mediums but mainly enjoys creating digital and animated imagery and paper from found and recycled materials.
She is driven to create by the exploration of character, story, medium, and escapist fantasies.
